BIC serves its members by promoting the interests of beauty professionals, addressing critical policies, and educating government officials. The council identifies issues and takes proactive measures to ensure its members are well represented. We are committed to maintaining high standards of education and training for licensure and protecting members from negative impacts of deregulation.
The Department of Business and Professional Regulation is the agency charged with licensing and regulating businesses and professionals in the State of Florida, such as cosmetologists, veterinarians, real estate agents and pari-mutuel wagering facilities. Their mission is to license efficiently and regulate fairly, and we strive to meet this goal in our day-to-day operations.
